Work item document
Documents can be attached to a work item in a number of ways. Each work item can have one template document, and one document attached.
At time of work item creation
A document can be attached at the time of work item creation by creating the work item from the document review toolbar. Read more.
Attach a document to an existing work item
A document can be attached to an existing work item from the work item screen.

Open an existing work item

From the
Details
tab on the toolbar, click theDocument
icon -
Click the
Document
option from the menu -
Select a document from the list

Select a branch from the document
-
The document has been attached to the work item
Attach a template to an existing work item
A template can be attached to a work item to be forked into a new document at a later date. This can be useful for assigning forms to be filled as part of a work item task.

tab on the toolbar, click theDocument
icon -
Click the
Template
option from the menu -
Select a document from the list

Select a branch or a release from the document

The document has been attached to the work item as a template

Attach a document by forking a template
A template can be forked either manually or through a work item action. To manually fork a template:

Click the vertical ellipse next to the attached template

Click the
Fork template
option from the menu -
The template will be forked with the new document attached to the work item
The new document will have the same title as the template, and inherit the document type of the template including the prefix. The new document will inherit the asset group associated with the work item.
Removing a document from a work item

Remove document
