Systems breakdown structure
A systems breakdown structure is a hierarchical tree of systems, sub-systems, and entities that comprise a system.
Systems breakdown structures can be mapped within V-Raptor to categorise, allocate, and assign document clauses, and work items.
Creating a new system breakdown structure

Click on the menu button to open the menu

Make sure the organisation you are creating the work item prefix for is selected

Click the gear icon next to the organisation name to go to the settings screen for your organisation

Click the
Systems
menu option -
Click the
New system
button -
Enter details for the new system
-
System name
The full name of the new system
-
System description
Optionally add a long description for the system
-
-
Click on the
Create
button
Adding sub systems and entities
Once a system has been created, sub systems and entities can be added below the system in the tree.

From the systems settings click on the system you want to add sub systems or entities to
-
Click on the
New
button next to the entity you want to add the new sub system or entity below -
Enter details for the new sub system or entity

System name
The full name of the new sub system or entity
-
System description
Optionally add a long description for the sub system or entity

Click on the
Create
button
Allocate document clauses to a system
Document clauses can be allocated to a system in any document by adding a new column.

Open a document

Add a new column to the document
-
Click on the new column heading to select it

From the
Home
tab on the toolbar, click theData type
icon -
Select
System
from the drop down menu -
Start allocating clauses to system using the select system menu for each clause
Allocate work item to a system
Work items can be allocated to a system when creating or editing the work item.

Go to create a new work item, or edit an existing work item
