Work item setup

Work Items

Work items provide a way for managing the basic items of work within your organisation. There are many different types of work items that organisations need to support. V-Raptor provides a flexible work item capability that allows your organisation to have multiple different types of work items. By default organisations will be setup with an Issues work item type.

Issue work items

Issue work items implement a problem - resolution workflow. An issue is a problem that has been encountered that requires a resolution to be closed.

Work item numbering

Each work item type can be uniqely numbered with a custom prefix. Each prefix obtains sequential numbers unique to that prefix. By default both Issues and Activities share the default prefix of sequential numbers.

Work item types

V-Raptor work items are extensible through work item types. New types can be created to implement a workflow, and existing types can be disabled and re-enabled when required.
