Document witnessing

V-Raptor is able to capture witness records allowing an organisation to digitally record and keep records of witnessing of verification documents.

The digital witness records are a complete history of the revision of the document witnessed and the details of the witness.

Witnessing a document

Make sure to commit any staged changes and results before witnessing

  1. From the Review tab on the toolbar, click the Witness icon

  2. Click the New witness button in the Witness dialogue

    If there are staged changes you will be prompted if you want to continue. It is recommended that any staged changes are committed before witnessing.

  3. Witness details can be recorded by various means.

    • By recording an e-signature on the verification captain's device

    • By scanning a QR code and having witnesses fill in their information on their own device

    • By scanning the witnesses' QR code on their own device

  4. Have the witness enter their details, and sign the signature box to add the witness record.

Adding witness table to the document export

The witness records can be included in a table in document exports. Different exports can be configured using views.

  1. From the View tab on the toolbar, click the Views icon and Define views.

  2. Select a view to add the witness table to.

  3. Toggle the Include witnesses option.
